Just a fun little bit of news to share this morning. I entered a couple of my favorite images into the photography contest at the Erie County Fair this year. My portrait entry received “best of” and was in consideration for the tri-color ribbon - yay! My pictorial entry received an honorable mention. It made trekking down to the fair 8.5 months pregnant with 4 kids and a husband in tow totally worth it.

Of course I have to include a picture with the blog post so I am posting one of my kiddos, from two years ago (well almost). Hard to believe he was this tiny - I love his wrinkly little feet here.

I wanted to share this blog that I came across through a friend with everyone. I love how creative this Mom is and the thought and love that she has put into each of these images. It goes to show that you don’t need a big ol’ expensive camera to capture creative images of your children. But of course when you want those really awesome portraits give me a call!

Well I have a weekend full of newborns ahead of me so be prepared for some major cuteness here on the blog. In the meantime. . .for some fun. . .did you know today is The Stars & Stripes Forever Day? Tomorrow is also Armed Services Day! It only gets better folks - tomorrow May 15th is also Pizza Party Day, National Chocolate Chip Day and the International Day of Families. So I say first and foremost - get your your red, white and blue, stripes and stars, wear them and honor the solidiers of our country! Then of course - have a pizza party with your family and bake some chocolate chip cookies for desert. I hope everyone has an amazing weekend! And of course what is a blog post without a photo. . .so in honor of the Stars & Stripes. . .my little man Reid about one year ago!
