Well it is FINALLY the first installment of “way back wednesday”. Here’s the deal - if your kiddo’s picture shows up here on Wednesdays - you have till 9am on Thursday morning to comment so I know you saw it! If you see your kiddos picture and comment in time, I will email you the 5×7 high resolution of the image with the release for printing. If you notice one of the kiddos and it isn’t yours, be sure to give your friend the heads up! Ready - set - GO!

I have had a sworm of newborns lately and its always nice to meet the families before the newborn session with a fun maternity session. This session was no exception! I think the black and white images is one of my favorite maternity images in a long time! Can’t wait to see them again in few weeks when they welcome their new baby into the world!

A bit about them in their own words (I’m going to LOVE sharing these with everyone and the answers always brighten my day too!)
What is your family’s favorite past time?
We love spending time together whether it is just enjoying the sunshine, catching a movie, or going to a concert, if we are together we are the most happy!
What is something unique about your family?
We are two mom family which some people do not approve of, but our love surpasses anyones judgements of us!
What would you like to remember most in 20 years when you look at your portraits from this session?
What we would like to remember 20 years from now from this photo would be, knowing that we created a life on purpose! Knowing that we wanted to share all the love we had with another human being and how wonderful a feeling that was. Us remembering how much we loved each other and looking forward to sharing our new baby with the world.

What is Mom/Dad’s job and/or hobby?
Mom is a 3rd grade teacher, Dad is a software engineer.

We love to go for walks, play outside, read, and play. We also like to explore new places and travel.
What is something unique about your family?
Unique? I’d say we’ve come up with some very silly songs for everyday things like changing diapers.

How happy we are to get to spend every day together and how special these moments are.

I get to photograph a lot of newborns and this little guy smiled more than any newborn I have ever seen in the past, it was so sweet!!! I just love his little cheeks and his gorgeous blue eyes too. Not really a preview anymore since Mom has seen the gallery - but really how could I not share him!

I am going to make an attempt (just hang with me while I may miss a few weeks here and there) to post something of my children and my life each Monday on the blog here. Its a buys life with 4 kiddos and running a business but I have to be more efficient at capturing my own kids too so hopefully this is a little bit of motivation for me!

This week - we have Reid the littlest man of the house. His favorite spot in the house is by FAR this large picture window. It is in my office and look out into the backyard. I’m not quite sure what he finds so interesting out there, but he loves to watch. Maybe its the birds - or the amazing sunlight but when I turn around from my computer and see his little toes sticking out from under his bum it makes me smile. I hope it brings a smile to your face too!

I have a few things up my sleeve for the blog here to keep things fun and moving - so keep an eye out this coming week. ESPECIALLY on Wednesdays. Here’s a hint - if your child’s photo pops up on Wednesday on the blog and you see it - you will get something special from me. More details to come this Wednesday. . .but keep in mind you won’t be notified of your kiddos picture so you’ll have to keep looking!

On another note - as we are quickly approaching the summer weather here in Buffalo my schedule is filling fast. Beginning May 1st I will be opening up Wednesday evenings for outdoor sessions and continue my Wacky Wednesday special from last year (it was a huge hit!). The Wacky Wednesday sessions will be $99 (a savings of over $50 on your session fee) and must take place outdoors at a park within the Buffalo area. Choose from a list or suggest one to me. I will begin booking these sessions this week for May through July! Contact me for more details!

What AMAZING weather we had here in Buffalo / WNY this weekend! Wow!! I had three sessions, two outdoors and it was perfect. So happy to share this little princess! I love love love her nursery - and the image of her below under the window has got to be one of my all time favorites. I really like when you can document how teeny little ones are compared to their everyday world. And seriously how perfect are her little lips - love them! Dad is traveling right now - so this preview is extra special for him so he can see how amazing she is (although I am sure he remembers!). Congrats guys - she is great and I will be in touch soon!
