SH Portraits is owned by photographer Samara Hutcheson and located in Buffalo NY. Samara travels throughout the WNY area providing fine art location newborn, baby, child, family & maternity portraits. Samara is a member of the Professional Photographer Association and is a featured photographer for the national publication Tot Trends Weekly. She is also an award winning photographer with 411MarketSource Artists & Designers. Giving back to her community is an important part of SH Portraits. Samara is a member of Pictures of Hope and the American Child Photographers Charity Guild.

Location photography provides a relaxing environment for older children. This type of photography will result in natural smiles and gorgeous works of art for your walls. Your session can take place in your home or other venue and will last approximately one hour. Sibling sessions and family sessions may last up to 2 hours. Samara has a complete list of outdoor and indoor venues across the Western New York area to choose from for your session. Newborn photography is considered to be Samara’s speciality. All newborn sessions are done in your home and last approximately 3 -4 hours. It is very important for your newborn to be photographed during the first 14 days of life. Please be sure to inquire about newborn photography while you are still pregnant to ensure availability in Samara’s schedule.

In addition to her thriving portrait business Samara also has made time to travel to Washington DC on a number of occasions photographing foreign and domestic political dignitaries including President Barack Obama. She is available for locally and for travel for event and commercial photography.

On a personal note, she is the mother to four beautiful children and a military wife. She loves to read, listen to music and hang out with her family. Her favorite foods are fetucinni alfredo and a good ice cream milk shake. She survives on Starbucks.
