11 days l buffalo ny newborn portraits

May 29th, 2011

Love love love this little girl – no really – I for a brief moment considered trying to slip her into my pocket and taking her home with me. Really she is just gorgeous – and she was so good to me!

one year l buffalo ny baby portraits

May 23rd, 2011

Love getting to see repeat clients, especially newborns when they are a year old. It is always so remarkable to me how much a child changes in that first year!

Three things. . .
1 – He is not shy. Mom says he is, but nope not for me. We are like BFF’s.
2 – Don’t trust the weather reports up until the last minute – because if we had we would have cancelled and O M G what a gorgeous evening it was last night!
3 – He has amazing big brown eyes, I swear I felt like I could just see his sweet little soul in them.

And of course – with 15 comments – a little gift from yours truly is included with Mom’s order, so help her out and share the love!

furry friends l buffalo ny pet portraits

May 16th, 2011

I loved having the chance to take some pictures of these cute furry friends and I had a blast. I love having pets be a part of a family’s session and if you don’t have children, I’d love to photograph your pets too!

buffalos best mom winner l buffalo ny child photographer

May 8th, 2011

I had the first annual “Buffalo’s Best Mom Contest” this past week and wow, I really didn’t know how I would ever choose. . .so I enlisted the help of some of my pro photography friends. I swear I don’t think I made it through one of the entries without crying. (On a side note what is it about becoming a Mom that makes us criers?!?)

This entrant was nominated by Kristie S. It was obvious to see in just the first few sentences why her friend Kathryn S. is so important to her, and such a great Mom to her kids. “I was blessed to meet Kathryn about two years ago at a parent-child group that she attended with her youngest daughter, M.” Both Kathryn and Kristie, share a common bond of having a special needs child, they both have a child with Down Syndrome.

Kristie just continues to beam about her friend through the entire entry, and says how supportive Kathryn is of not only her family, but with helping her friends, and the community being an advocate for her daughter.

I think what really sums it up is that Kristie said. . .

“Kathryn has raised four beautiful, bright and loving daughters. Her daughters are the type of children that any family would envy.”

Gosh, well, Kathryn. . .I can not WAIT to meet you and your beautiful girls. Congratulations on winning, you certainly deserve it! Happy Mother’ Day!!

photographer carousel “monochrome” l buffalo ny photographer

May 2nd, 2011

For this photography challenge, our topic was “monochrome”. So, I enlisted the help of my children and we did a little project together. They each got to choose a color scheme, then they had to draw a picture using only those colors. Then we took their creations, and their colors and did some pictures. I hope you have a smile on your face looking through these, we had a blast creating them!

Be sure to scroll on down to the bottom of the post to get the link for the next photographer in the carousel!

Now check out Milwaukee family photographer, Anna Mayer!

Lastly – if you try to leave a comment and you see a message that says “error” it is a bug with wordpress and the blog itself. I’m working on a resolution, but rest assured your comment will come through to me and I will moderate it then post it!
