This month I really wanted to capture spring and flowers but. . .of course the tulips haven’t opened in my garden yet. So (on the advice of my husband believe it or not!) I chose to document both the old and new life that is budding in our garden. For these images I kept the frame the same, just switching focus points to focus on the old hydrangeas that have held out all through winter and the new buds that are getting ready to bloom. I love my hydrangeas, they are lime green and GORGEOUS when they do bloom, plus they bloom all summer into fall. . .so I am really excited to see all of the new buds.
Please take a moment to go check out Atlanta Baby & Child Photographer, Corey Sewell and see what she captured close up, macro style. Be sure to then click through and make the rounds on the blog carousel as well!

I love the take of the old and the new. Great choice for this months theme!
ahhhh love these little hints of spring! Can’t wait to see buds here.
So pretty. I love the barren beauty of a winter garden and really really love watching spring emerge so quickly too!
Beautiful images, Samara! Love the old versus new – very cool!
Oh, I love the texture of the dried flowers in the garden! they have lovely shape and are a hint/tease of the summer to come. And seeing that hint of growth just makes me long for spring all the more! Lovely
