It’s simple really, it just isn’t nice to copy Samara’s work.  In case you are wondering though, the Federal Copyright Law protects copyright. It is unlawful to copy or scan any images without permission of the photographer. Even though the pictures may be of you or your child, the photographer still owns the copyright to the image. Likewise, clients cannot authorize any reproductions of the images for commercial use, personal use, for photographic competition or display. This includes scanning of work on Kodak picture makers or other printing and scanning machines at local stores (such as Wal Mart, Costco, CVS, Walgreens, etc.), or on home printers and scanners.
