Lets just call this weekend “newborn-pallooza” and this guy is #2. . .oh how cute he is! Check out the cheeks on him and that perfect little nose. Oh my, I have the best job getting to hang out with these sweet little ones. I’ll take a “newborn-pallooza” any weekend! Thank you so much Mom and Dad for having me over today, Grandma too! Your little man is just pure sweetness!

Event Photography l buffalo ny event photographer

If you have an event coming up, big or small consider contacting SH Portraits! You may not know it but SH Portraits has been providing event photography for years now. I have worked with clients on small intimate parties, charity organizations for fundraisers and even the Democratic National Committee on gala fundraisers including President Obama and other domestic & foreign dignitaries. Event photography includes a CD of images from your event (the number of images depends on the type of event and length) and also a DVD musical slideshow. Just call or email for more information! Earn $200 in Gift Certificates l buffalo photographer

It is really quite easy to earn your $200 in gift certificates. Simply book a session for sometime in January through March. After your session, with the delivery of your portraits you will receive 2 complimentary $50 gift certificates to give to two different friends (must be new clients of SH Portraits). Friends can use their certificate towards their session fee or an order. When your friend redeems their gift certificate you will be mailed a $100 gift certificate for yourself that you can use towards a session fee or portrait order. If you love custom photography and you love sharing that gift with your friends this is the program for you to take part in! Call to book your session soon!

Winter Baby Contest

The images below for the contest have not been taken by SH Portraits and were all user submitted by each baby or child’s parent. Because SH Portraits does not only photograph babies, and photographs children of all ages, anyone was welcome to submit their photo. While the contest is named “Winter Baby” any photo submitted was eligible for the contest. Please note that while you are able to vote “once per day” this is in a 24 hour period. So if you vote at 8pm one day, you will not be able to vote again until after 8pm the following day. I promise that voting is being done fairly!

thank you l buffalo ny child baby family photographer wny

Well – its the time of the year when I get to thank each and every one of my friends, clients and family for an amazing year. I have been so blessed this year both with SH Portraits and my family’s personal life. We have four amazing children (you’ll see them last in the slideshow) who are doing great in school and keep us laughing, guessing and just wondering every single day. I am sure you can all relate as well! With SH Portraits I was blessed to see familiar faces grow up, be a part of new families lives and even had the opportunity to travel to Washington DC to photograph and meet the President. I have had the chance this year to share my love of photography doing a PPA (Professional Photographers of America) presentation on newborn photography and I have had the honor of winning a few small awards. It has been an AMAZING year and I have each and every one of you to thank for it. That being said – please take a few minutes, grab a cup of coffee (or tea, or hot cocoa) and possibly a tissue or two and watch my year end video. You may even see your family’s face and remember your special moment with me this year. So thank you again for being a part of my life and allowing me to share in yours. ~ Samara

Well this little guy just proves to me that my patience pays off at newborn sessions. Once he was out. . .he was out. . .and the great images prove it. I had a great time (as usual!) with Mom this morning learning a bit about her family and let me tell you. . .this little guy is blessed to be a part of it! I just LOVED these girls today. The are too cute for words and it was so great to finally meet little M. and to see her sister again. They both definately have the camera “thing” down pat and let me tell you – my camera totally enjoys them too. So much fun and great images to top it off. I have to admit – my heart skipped a beat when I saw this little one last night. She is just beautiful and I am in love with her big brown eyes. I think they have so much soul and light to them. I had a great time watching her explore and show me what she is all about. Her inquisitive personality kept me on my toes and we came away with great images. Thanks again Mom – I look forward to showing you the complete gallery soon!

You may notice a slight change when you visit SH Portraits. . .my brand new LOGO! It has been a long time coming and I am happy to say I finally have bit the bullet and had something custom designed that I feel really fits my style of children’s portrait photography. It is fun and whimsical yet still has that great classic feel to it too. I’m still the same children’s photographer that you all know and love to work with, just with a new look! I will be leaving for vacation next week, but like the crazy person I am I fit as much into my schedule as possible. So if you do not want to wait till the end of August for your summer session, book NOW for one of two evening sessions next week. Or book now for a session in the end of August. Also please keep in mind that my fall schedule books very quickly, especially for weekends and I am already booking in October for outdoor fall portraits and your family holiday cards. Please considering booking early this year, the cut off for holiday orders will be November 15th. I can’t wait to see all of my old friends and meet some new ones too!
