Holy Moly – she gets more beautiful everytime I see her. New things I learned tonight about her – she loves her fairy wings, her wand and well – she is a typical 2 year old girl that just chatters away. Love her to PIECES and then some!

growing up l buffalo children’s photographyJuly 11th, 2010It is so hard for me to imagine that I first met this family when their little guy was just a couple of weeks old. Now he is nearing in on 5! I have had the wonderful experience of watching him grow and then welcome a new sister and now watching her grow as well. It is truly the BEST part of my job. I feel honored to have families choose me to document these fleeting times with their children. Love you guys!! Session was awesome and I can’t wait for you to see the gallery in a few days!

some fun l buffalo child photographerMarch 13th, 2010Having great images is not all about the camera. No really – it isn’t. Truth be told – my iPhone is my biggest asset in my handbag. It captures my kids 90% of the time when I am too tired to get out my photo equipment. That being said – should you not invest in custom photography, abosolutely not. But with a little creativity (and some cool apps for the iPhone the one I used is called “Shake it Photo”) you too can have a lot of fun with your kids and your point and shoot camera at home. When you want the special, hang on your walls, pro pictures – definately give me a ring! Here is a bit of fun I had with my little guy Jude yesterday outside. For those outside of the Buffalo area – it was over 60 degrees and GORGEOUS. So we walked to the corner store for some new chalk and bubbles!

Lets just call this weekend “newborn-pallooza” and this guy is #2. . .oh how cute he is! Check out the cheeks on him and that perfect little nose. Oh my, I have the best job getting to hang out with these sweet little ones. I’ll take a “newborn-pallooza” any weekend! Thank you so much Mom and Dad for having me over today, Grandma too! Each family would have the chance to do a 20 minute session with me and my portable studio in your home and would receive 5-10 proofs to choose from. Just keep in mind these would not be for family portraits, but instead focused only on children. There are a variety of packages for each family to choose as well, suiting everyone’ needs! The images below for the contest have not been taken by SH Portraits and were all user submitted by each baby or child’s parent. Because SH Portraits does not only photograph babies, and photographs children of all ages, anyone was welcome to submit their photo. While the contest is named “Winter Baby” any photo submitted was eligible for the contest. Please note that while you are able to vote “once per day” this is in a 24 hour period. So if you vote at 8pm one day, you will not be able to vote again until after 8pm the following day. I promise that voting is being done fairly!
