Event Photography l buffalo ny event photographer

February 1st, 2010

If you have an event coming up, big or small consider contacting SH Portraits! You may not know it but SH Portraits has been providing event photography for years now. I have worked with clients on small intimate parties, charity organizations for fundraisers and even the Democratic National Committee on gala fundraisers including President Obama and other domestic & foreign dignitaries. Event photography includes a CD of images from your event (the number of images depends on the type of event and length) and also a DVD musical slideshow. Just call or email for more information! If you’d like to see some of my event images go to the information tab on the top of the blog then view “Commerican & Event Photography”.

I can’t believe it is 2010 already – this little guy was my first session of the year and it is off to a great start. He is so cute, tons of fuzzy hair, perfect little lips I could go on and on (as I am sure Mom & Dad could as well). I was lucky enough to spend my morning with him and his Mom and I hope to see you all again sometime in 2010. Enjoy your preview and I’ll be in touch soon with your gallery! web36web13web35

Well this great family is getting a bit bigger preview than normal because they stuck it out for a while at our session and were super patient. It totally paid off too with gorgeous family images and gorgeous images of this little guy. I love swaddling pictures and really I totally love his little chin. The cute dimple reminds me of my little man Jude so I have a soft spot for it. Enjoy your preview K. & J I’ll be in touch with your full gallery real soon! ~ Samara

fall color l buffalo baby photographer

October 29th, 2009

It was so nice to see this little guys face once again – another little man that was itsy bitsy the last time I saw him! I had a wonderful time with him this morning and the fall color was still amazing! I just love the image with all of the leaves and him in the chair (thanks to my son’s speech therapist for letting me borrow it!). Great great morning and amazing images.

This is the incredibly beautiful little sister of an incredibly handsome little man – and of course daughter to a pair of great clients! I met this family with her little brother was born and now here we are nearly 2 years later photographing her and welcoming her into this world. I just love photographing newborns (as you all know) and I really enjoy it in the presence of such great company. Thank you E. family for having me to your home again – I look forward to watching your family grow!

contest winner & updates l buffalo ny photographer

October 19th, 2009

Well – its true I have been a complete slacker with the blog the past week. This time of year gets me everytime! It is WONDERFUL to see so many new faces and my old little friends but something has to give and sadly it has been the blog. I have cutie patootie faces to share later on today and tomorrow (not really previews anymore but still ahve to share!).

In the meantime – a couple of important notes & updates!

All holiday card orders MUST be placed by November 5th to ensure delivery without theof a rush fee.

All holiday portrait orders MUST be placed by November 15th to ensure delivery without a rush fee.

And finally without further wait. . .our CONTEST WINNER! Each entry was given a number (depending on the order in which your entry was received) and then written on a piece of paper. My 8 year old then chose a number at random from 1-17. Kristen was #9 and that is the number Kayla chose!

Kristen R. – here is her story. . .
“So, our story is: last year, we tried to make our own “photo studio” in our living room…we put up a big white sheet against our mantel(because we thought in order to look like a “real” picture, we needed a white background:), and got little Carmelo all dressed in his Christmas outfit. We wanted him to play with some of his blocks, but he also wanted to play with his tricycle. So we hoped he would delicately stand next to the tricycle, and not actually ride it…you may know the ending to this story:) He wanted to ride the trike and he did…all over the mantel, with the sheet in tow!”

And here is the image – I promise you this years cards will be rockin’!!
