Love love love that I was able to get this family in this weekend because Mom is due like now! The new addition to this family is going to have so much love poured on it, its so awesome. I mean really – check out the a-dorable older siblings it will have and the equally gorgeous Mom. I just had to show off some of Mom with each of her other loves before the baby arrives. You are super cool too Dad – but you’ll have to wait to see those images. Thanks again guys and I can’t wait to meet your new little one soon!!

The images below for the contest have not been taken by SH Portraits and were all user submitted by each baby or child’s parent. Because SH Portraits does not only photograph babies, and photographs children of all ages, anyone was welcome to submit their photo. While the contest is named “Winter Baby” any photo submitted was eligible for the contest. Please note that while you are able to vote “once per day” this is in a 24 hour period. So if you vote at 8pm one day, you will not be able to vote again until after 8pm the following day. I promise that voting is being done fairly!

I had the pleasure of photographing this amazingly beautiful Mom at a recent maternity session (ok it was the beginning of December and I am way behind but I still had to share). I really love doing maternity sessions at Baby Bump Motherhood Center in Cheektowaga. It is a gorgeous facility and for anyone that hasn’t heard of it yet you can check it out at http://www.babybumpmotherhoodcenter.com. Our next maternity session/baby mini session event should be sometime in early February!

I am waaaaay behind on blog previews and fun posts. This busy month has really kicked me in the but and the blog took the hit! I just love this little guy. I have been photographing him since he was just a few days old, 5 I think. Now he is turning into an amazing little man with tons of personality. I got to try out a great new location with the family and it was just amazing. To top it off the weather was unreal. Especially for Buffalo in mid November. So an adorable face + awesome location + amazing weather = awesome images below!

It is WONDERFUL to see so many new faces and my old little friends but something has to give and sadly it has been the blog. I have cutie patootie faces to share later on today and tomorrow (not really previews anymore but still ahve to share!). In the meantime – a couple of important notes & updates! All holiday card orders MUST be placed by November 5th to ensure delivery without theof a rush fee. All holiday portrait orders MUST be placed by November 15th to ensure delivery without a rush fee. And finally without further wait. . .our CONTEST WINNER! Each entry was given a number (depending on the order in which your entry was received) and then written on a piece of paper. Kristen R. – here is her story. . .
“So, our story is: last year, we tried to make our own “photo studio” in our living room…we put up a big white sheet against our mantel(because we thought in order to look like a “real” picture, we needed a white background:), and got little Carmelo all dressed in his Christmas outfit. We wanted him to play with some of his blocks, but he also wanted to play with his tricycle. So we hoped he would delicately stand next to the tricycle, and not actually ride it…you may know the ending to this story:) He wanted to ride the trike and he did…all over the mantel, with the sheet in tow!”

Well really what two year old isn’t busy and what baby girl doesn’t just love to ham up the camera right? I had a fun time (really I did!) at this session today. Awesome awesome location and two gorgeous children to go with. Plus two parents who were totally fun to chat with. Couldn’t ask for more (really its the truth!). Since I am sure Mom thinks I am not telling the truth I am giving you a little extra preview to prove that today was GREAT!

I got to do a little of everything with this sweet little girl. Some of the “standard” things and then some more lifestyle portraits with her. I have to say that the image you will see below of her in the bay window is by far one of my most favorite newborn portraits EVER. I am absolutely in love with it.
